Do I need to be a certified teacher to homeschool?

No. Many Florida families educate their children through various educational pathways. Families should review official Florida home education and scholarship requirements to understand their responsibilities.

Can my child participate in a micro-school?

Many families choose micro-schools because they provide a structured learning environment with small class sizes, personalized instruction, and creative learning opportunities.

Can scholarship funds help cover costs?

Many families may qualify for scholarship programs such as PEP or Unique Abilities. Families should check with the scholarship organization to confirm eligibility, approved uses, and requirements.

Can families pay privately?

Yes. Spotlight Stars School of the Arts welcomes private-pay families as well as families using approved scholarship programs.

What if I am just getting started?

That is completely okay. This page is designed to help families begin learning about homeschooling, micro-schooling, scholarships, and educational options in Florida.
